Constructing Excellence Award North East 2010

The winners were announced in May 2010 at the Gosforth Marriott Hotel when Peter Kempsey of Countryside Consultants was presented with the Constructing Excellence North East Award in the Heritage category for the consolidation of Shittleheugh Bastle, a scheduled monument.  This iconic windswept ruin, high in the hills above Otterburn was on the Heritage at Risk (HAR) register until its sensitive consolidation carried out by Heritage Consolidation under the supervision of Peter Kempsey, Architect Accredited in Building Conservation.   Read more about this project here
